Got to help in fog
Most cars respect me on the road and give additional space, and while my bike has an LED brake light, I understand how bad drivers on the road are at telling when a vehicle is slowing down when brakes aren't being applied resulting in loss of following distance and reaction time. This gives those drivers a visible indicator that helps w my safety, which is even more important in fog, and wet road conditions when stopping distance can increase.

GoldWing Rider with even more visibility
This works. Brake lights work when braking, but not when using engine braking by downshifting. This light works when braking and downshifting. Just one driver not paying attention could change your life for the worse. With all the distractions in today's world, this just makes sense. I wear it on my helmet when riding solo and my wife's helmet when she rides behind me.
