The Brake Free fits helmet sizes XS to XXL, matte and gloss finish, full face, 3/4 and half helmets. We fit-tested Brake Free on race helmets, street helmets, touring helmets, adventure helmets, modular helmets, and even some skateboard and bike helmets.

We use a combination of accelerometer and gyrometer sensors inside the unit.

Our patented algorithm takes in all the data from the sensors and determines with great accuracy any time you're slowing down, no matter how. (Engine braking, downshifting, and regular braking)

Short answer, 8-12 hours on average. The longer answer is, the battery life depends on the type of riding you're doing, the mode you select, and the weather conditions. Brake Free has been known to last for 14+ hours in Stealth Mode on long-distance rides.

UV Protection has been a huge focus. We did a ton of testing to make sure the UV protection is top notch. We spent months perfecting the materials and additives to make sure these units stay beautiful for as long as possible.

Ride through the BC Rockies
This is an excellent safety feature. Was delayed during the day due to fires and visibility was not the greatest. The Break Free light really helped with our visibility with other drivers.

I really liked its functionality, I would only add a slightly bulkier power button, to have the feeling with the gloves, also some attachment that can be installed on the bike to identify that it is still on since when you bring it on you do not know if it is on or if it is forgotten to turn it on., that's why I don't give it 5 stars

Safety never looked so good!
I absolutely love this! Thanks to brakefree, I'm much more confident at night, but i will say it's equally effective in daylight. Since installing, I have noticed cars driving behind me are giving me at least twice as much space than before. Who knew that this was such a simple solution to tailgating? I think it's because you're at eye level for the car behind you and the light definitely demands attention.
The sleek design perfectly compliments my helmet shape, and is so lightweight I don't even notice it. I get compliments about it from fellow bikers and even a couple officers that pulled up next to me at a stoplight told me they were impressed.
I was so pleased with my purchase I immediately got one for my girlfriend, who loves it as well. (I got her the white version that matches her helmet)
I've seen complaints about the device not properly affixing to the mount; I did have the same issue with the XL mount until I used a paperclip to gently move the mount's latch out a teeny little bit and now it locks on with a satisfying click.
