How to Store Your Brake Free Through The Winter

Sadly, for a lot of us—riding season is over for the time being. To make sure we're ready to go when the time comes, we covered motorcycle winterization tips. So, what about storing your Brake Free? There are a few pretty important factors to consider to keep your unit in good working condition.

Battery Storage Recommendations

You’ll want to keep your unit charged between 40-60%, too. To check, your unit will flash twice during boot up to indicate that battery level.

Temperature Matters

When storing your Brake Free for an extended period of time, temp ranges are important. Optimal storage temps range between 59 and 77 degrees Fahrenheit (15-25 celsius).

If you’re storing your Brake Free outdoors or in a garage at colder temperatures, either drained or fully charged: there may be a reduction in life (charge cycles) and faster degradation of battery performance.

So long story short—find a nice spot indoors with your unit charged about halfway. That way, when riding season returns, your unit will be ready to go. Problem free.
